4 Easy Steps For Prefectly Moulded profiles
Step 1: Wood & Moulder Get Prepped For Your Desired Profile
First, we start by removing any packaging and staples from the wood. Then, we thoroughly check the wood for any defects, such as cracks. Next, our team measures your order and calibrates the required moulder. After that, our moulder operator sharpens their moulder steel knife to ensure swift and precise cutting action, which will help to achieve your desired profile.
Step 2: The Transformation Begins As Your Wood Meets Our Moulder
Next, our Moulder operator thoroughly examines your work order and then loads your wood into the front-end conveyor. High-speed blades in our Moulder begin cutting away at your wood. Our in-house custom profiling system allows us to process any unique requests. This includes Tongue & Groove, Rabbeted Bevel, Channel/Shiplap, and V-Joint to create Paneling, Siding or Flooring. Our Moulders can also create products such as Interior Door Jambs, Baseboards, casings, or Crowns to name a few.
Step 3: It's Time To Examine And Organize The Final Product
Our moulder specialists approve what comes off the transfer chain by conducting a reassessment of quality every few boards to ensure consistency. Paired with our moulder operator are 2 end stackers, both are thoroughly trained on what to look for. As your finished products run down the transfer chain, our end stacker carefully piles them based on grade, adding support strapping between every 3 rows.
Step 4: Wrapping, Labeling And Processing For Shipment
Here at Swiftwood, we take pride in providing quality from start to finish. Your order is manually counted and labeled ensuring 100% accuracy. We only use top-tier lumber wrap for your products and heat-treated dunnage. Finally, your order is processed a 2nd time, this time through the LISA inventory management system, providing an extra layer of security. Your order is held in our dry storage until pickup and delivery date.
